This is a out-of-the-box Xfce version of Ubuntu. It is lite and runs quite well out of the box and is easily customisable to how you want it with the only exception being installing third-party software is almost nearly impossible unless you are tech-savvy at the xubuntu command line. For the rest of us who are first time new to this distro is only good for browsing the net, watching videos and typing.

Windows users who use this for the first time will have to get used to the taskbar and start menu at the top of the screen because if you're used take the mouse to the bottom of the screen you will be disappointed to find nothing there.

One of the things I really like about Xubuntu is by default the keyboard layout is US and the characters are messy but when you change it, it changes instantly without having to restart the machine.
